Since 2011, short-term LNG markets have experienced a dramatic rebalancing towards Asia. Having reached unprecedented liquidity, Asian spot markets now face barriers to further growth. On the demand side, premium buyers in South America and elsewhere have challenged Asia for spot volumes.
On the supply side, the availability of flexible volumes has been reduced by reallocation of flexible volumes to term contracts. Meanwhile, a constrained production outlook is set to tighten the market in 2014.
In this webinar Simon Ellis, an LNG market analyst, will explain current market dynamics, describe the factors which have driven price movements from 2011 to 2013 and examine the challenges posed to spot market liquidity in 2014.
This webinar took place on December 5th ,2013.
